I saw this move on HBO Saturday night. It was pretty moving to me, emotionally moving. It was about a soldier who died in Iraq and his coming home, it was based on a true story. I had no idea that the men who died in Iraq or other wars, were escorted home by other soldiers. In this story, Kevin Bacon's character, (a real person) Lt. Colonel Mike Strobl, is a Marine Officer who volunteered to take home a soldier who died in Iraq back to his home town in Colorado. I was very moved how met...

I couldn't resist that line!  However, the movie we saw, Paul Blart: Mall Cop with Kevin James, was worth it!   I wanted to go to the movies, really to see Underworld or Taken or one of those other interesting ones, but with kids in tow, they dislike scary movies, plus those I wanted to see were not appropriate for a seven year old! We came to a unified decision, Paul Blart it was!  I like Kevin James, he's a funny comedian in my book and I've always enjoyed the King of...

Growing up I've always enjoyed watching television, (and still do!).  My dream when I was growing up was to become an actress.  Throughout my school life, Primary and High School, I was involved in the Drama Club and wrote and acted in a variety of Plays, most of them comedies.

One of the reasons (but not the only one) for my love of comedies was Harvey Korman!  He was such a wonderful comedic actor whose timing was so spot on all the time!  I enjoyed him in Blazing Saddles, to this date, it is amongst one of my all time favorite shows starring Harvey, Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder - three great comedic actors in my book!

We watched Iron Man last night and man it was worth it!

Robert Downey Jr., I can't tell you how much I enjoyed him in this role and how he amazed me with his talents, even after all that he's been through in his life, he still has IT!

If you haven't seen this movie yet, and you're a COMIC book fan, as I am, you have got to go see it, I think that it is even better than the Transformers movie, (not a comic, but one of my childhood favs!) and I did love the Transformers movie!  Yeah, doesn't take much to impress me but hey, I know what I like.

My kids loved it too and even hubby was able to sit through the entire

2 hours and 6mins without sleeping, that's a plus!

You have got to be shitting me!!!!!!! There I was (and I'm sure a gazillion other fans) feeling good about the way the episode was going to end.  Warrick was proven innocent, they met up at the hang out, everyone said 'see ya later'  when they left, I was getting that big smirk ("yes, he's still alive, there is a chance those rumors are not true!") whizzed around my brain....until he left the bar, got into his car and then the twist to end all twists!!!!! Bam...

I'm glad some of my favorite shows are going on hiatus for a couple of months!  After writer's strike, which took its' toll on me and on our favorite television programs, some of them have not even reappeared!  I'm about done with regular TV after I've watched my season finales of course!    Desperate Housewives, wraps next week Sunday, they will do a two-hour finale, can't wait to see what happens with that evil step child!   Bones is on tonight, I...

There's a new show on Fox that I've been watching and it has been pretty interesting so far.  I saw the trailers for their new series New Amsterdam and was sceptical at first but decided I would give it a chance, being the avid television watcher that I am!

I actually missed the first episode, but caught the second one that same week!

There's a Star Trek: The Tour coming to a town near each of us, I hope really soon!  Can you imagine being able to see all of those items that made this originally 'sleeper' series the success that it is today?!  Being able to hopefully sit on the famous chair and go on deck and experience the wonder of the Enterprise!

The tour starts in California and will be at a town or city US-wide soon.  You can check the following link for tour dates http://www.startrek.com/custom/include/community/tour/

As a teen one of my favorite television shows, (in fact, my entire family loved this show!) was Magnum P.I.   It was wholesome fun and filled with lots of adventures!     We loved it because the star, Tom Selleck made it so good, along with his co-stars, John Hillerman as Higgins (aka Robin Masters – I always thought so anyway!), Roger Mosley as TC and Larry Manetti as Rick!   Plus don’t forget those two loveable Dobermans!   I’ve h...

Did any of you see the Golden Globe announcements last night? I tried to watch it, I really did but was too disgusted and distracted to stay with any of the programs! Channel 4, NBC and Channel 65, E! both broadcasted the winners via their entertainment hosts. That just didn't fly with me at all! I found it difficult to enjoy the reading of the announcements without all the fanfare of the actors/actresses going on stage, making their speeches, possibly flubbing their speeches and doi...

Not that I mind one bit! I've found myself every evening, at the end of the day/night...depending how you look on it...watching Disney channel with my little one and my son. They love those cartoons, (are they cartoons really?) that I mentioned in the title and I find that I quite enjoy watching them too! They are absolutely hilarious! The Replacements, the music is pretty funky and catchy and the same goes for the others too! LOL! I love to watch Krunk in Kuzco, just to hear him talk...

She did it, she got the Oscar! I'm watching the Oscars right now and I have to tell you I didn't expect her to win and I'm glad she did. Because it gives hope to those who are out there trying to become a success at whatever it is they are doing. That one day, they too can have the recognition and success. Oh,On another note, Al Gore and his group just won the Oscar for their docu-reality on Global Warming. I didn't see it, but I did hear it was pretty informative! Congratulat...

I'm stuck at home today waiting on the carpet cleaners to stop by and clean my carpets. I've vacuumed, put everything I can up high and getting a little bored. I tune in to daytime TV which I don't get to do often since I"m at work during the day. I used to enjoy watching The View but not anymore. I actually used to tune into it because of Star Jones, and Meredith. When Star was on they had such an interesting chemistry and Meredith and her were always fun to watch (to me) because th...

That's an odd name for a movie. Odd but interesting. I was just watching Clive Owens in Derailed. I've been wanting to see that movie for a while now. I even taped it on my DVR (TIVO's unrelated cousin) and it's been sitting there waiting for me to watch, but alas, between work, and my family life, I've been unable to watch it. So tonight when I was channel surfing, [yikes, make that last night, I didn't realise the time!] I bumped into Clive's broad shoulders, took one look in those ey...

According to one person (who is deceased I might add) " It's the movies that have really been running things in America ever since they were invented. They show you what to do, how to do it, when to do it, how to feel about it, and how to look how you feel about it ." That quote was made by Andy Warhol. Does anyone remember him? How can we not?! He was also the person who coined "five minutes of fame" and made quite a memorable contribution in the art and design world. One thing I...
