There’s one thing my mom taught me is to not get involve in the web of deceit that some people create. Stay far away from the fray; don’t get involve in any mix up, mix up. I’ve done that by not getting involved in any in my life thus far. I’ve had my say, yes, I’ve stand up for people I believe in, even myself when the need arises. I think I’ve done well where that is concerned. Mom also taught me to always try to see the good in other people. Almost anyone deserves a second cha...

I couldn't believe it when I read it on a recent news article on line from Yahoo News and Reuters. Fried coke made it's debut at at the State Fair of Texas recently. It was very popular too because in 24 days the guy who created it sold 35, 000 cups of fried coke for $4.50 each! Wow! I'm sure it tasted good otherwise it wouldn't be so popular! My kids all said they would like to try it. I"m curious about it too. But I do wonder what the caloric content is, it must be through the roo...

I wanted to address the reaction caused by my writing of the article “An Open Letter to Our Young Ladies” Link When I wrote this it wasn’t my intention to have it come off as me being a prude or putting my nose into other people’s business, telling them how to dress. I also had no intention of offending anyone. I didn’t realize I would be perceived of being uppity with my responses/comments or about anything I said on that blog. I wrote another blog about “Why Women dress like Slut...

I like to think I know people, I have a good sense of who someone is almost all of the time; that's my 'thing'. Of course I've been wrong before and it's always enlightening and a little disappointing when I am. I usually chalk it down to a lesson learn and move on. I'm done trying to figure some people out. This trying to figure some people out isn't just about one, there are a few that I don't even want to bother to try figure out, not anymore. I am an honest person, what I wr...

There was a poll done recently asking American men one simple question, "Ginger or Maryanne"? Majority of the men polled chose Maryanne. Most men "....prefer wholesome and unpretentious to gorgeous and so-called sexy...." Well I think that's about the most wonderful news I've read in weeks! Here's a link with more details. Link

I really enjoy this past-time, that's why I've stuck around. The people I've met online also play a key role in making blogging enjoyable. I'm glad some of you are still here! There are some things however, that I've noticed, that are making the blog experience not so fun anymore. Oh yea, before I begin, let me do my courtesy disclaimer, these are observations and not because of something that happened to me. My head is not that big !LOL! My list might be a bit random so excu...

Time to eat Time to sleep Time to work Time to spend with the kids Or husband, or wife Time to shop Time to get your act together Time is all we ever seem to need. If I only had time I would have finished this; or gotten there on time; or said I love you; or said I’m sorry. Isn’t it funny (strange) how it seems that time moves so quickly? After all it never stands still. You do, but time doesn’t! How come it does go so quickly though? It seems like only yesterday I was sa...

This is not an original piece, a reprint from an email I received. I thought it was inspirational and wanted to share. Enjoy! I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight. I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have. Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free. Today I can feel sad that I don't ...

I’ve always noticed that some of my articles get referred from time to time. Since I’ve seen this, I got curious and began checking them out. I think it’s pretty darn interesting! Why you might wonder? Because that article you write when it’s Referred gets seen by so many more people, sometimes even other people might link to it or refer to it on their own blogs. It’s also a link on other websites which is pretty darn cool! I followed one of my recent blogs and it was featured in Ger...

There’s a commercial that I really enjoy watching. The one advertised by Liberty Mutual. It shows people being nice to each other. Each person going about their day, sees one person doing something nice for someone and they like that and in turn do something nice for someone else. It’s like when someone does something for you, especially if they don’t know you. They ask you to ‘pay it forward’ doing something for someone else in need when the opportunity presents itself. It does...

Guys, my fellow bloggers who've I've known for two years, it has been that long right? I've enjoyed being here, I've enjoyed the chit chats, the flirting, the commiserating, the bawdy jokes...in retrospect everything! I've also come to love a few of you. I don't know you, but I do, if you know what I mean. And as Doc so eloquently put it in a comment on my last blog, we've come to know each other's personalities and nuances that so makes this community the wonderful place it is. Hol...
