My blogging karma, its gone. At least I thought I had it, now looking back at some of my blogs, maybe I didn't! I don't think I was so bad, I wrote some good stuff; some interesting stories, interspersed with happenings from my personal life. I don't think I was that bad. Maybe I"m just too whiny or needy, which is it I wonder? I'm too sentimental? Too emotional? It's making me really feel invisible I guess. Maybe I should make a confession. Yeah, I could do that! I could r...
I'm posting this just for the hell of it and it's one of my fav songs! I'm listening to it too! BON JOVI LYRICS This ain't a song for the broken-hearted No silent prayer for the faith-departed I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd You're gonna hear my voice When I shout it out loud [Chorus:] It's my life It's now or never I ain't gonna live forever I just want to live while I'm alive (It's my life) My heart is like an open highway Like Frankie s...
The editors of PC World unveiled their favorite places to go in blog land! They obviously don't go everywhere because they didn't put our Joe on the list - their loss! They seem to have listed quite a few tech blogs so, maybe that's the key to being on their list, especially since that's their world! Some of the blog sites they listed I did recognise, some I didn't. Included on their list are: Slashdot - "tech news blogs, and the virtual water cooler of the geek cognoscent...
I was flipping through a magazine and saw this ad, “Larger, Fuller Breasts without Surgery, Pills or Creams”! Let me tell you I don’t know how they think that’s gonna happen, but apparently the product they are advertising can do that for you! Do you want to know what it’s call? The Brava Breast Enhancement System! It’s going to grow your own breast tissue naturally and you can get up to two breasts size! Wow! If that can do that, I would definitely be impressed! It’s like those ...
As a child growing up, my mom would say, “Let’s go to the beach so that we can wash off the crosses (bad luck) off us and renew our spirits”. This was done especially at the start of a new year or the end of an old one. I never questioned this because it seemed like a natural thing to do and I did love going to the beach! As I grew up, this continued to be a part of our tradition. It’s what her parents did with her and her siblings and what she did with me and mine. It was also a ...
At least I don’t think I could. Because that would mean giving up what I like to eat, meat, although most of the times I eat chicken, but once in a while I like to eat red meat. I try to eat liver often, because it’s good for me with the iron it provides and which I lack, so says my doctor last year. I have no idea if that has improved, and I have not been taking vitamins! I think I better start doing that ASAP! I do like to eat vegetables and healthy foods and I do know doing so d...
Oh the metaphor! We have so many of those to guide us on our road to fulfillment don't you think?! We continually find those euphemism that helps us to see our way through life. It might seem offensive to some to speak of some things, yet there are those of us that find those wise philosophical thoughts that cautions us on our path to being what we are, human! It's a natural part of being human. We continuously grow and learn from the mistakes we make in life. At least some of ...
I'm laughing because I had every intention of writing about this for a while now but didn't, less i seem to be nitpicking or something! But seeing Gene's article made me decide to! Link I know we all love to write and that's why we are here, the fact that others are able to read and respond to what we write is very intoxicating and quite refreshing! To think that hey, someone is interested in what I wrote, you know what I mean? It gives you a certain feeling of pleasure, doesn't it ...
Joe, where did you go? I hope you're doing OK. Is this goodbye forever? Say it ain't so Joe!
It can be an art form depending on what you find! I mentioned in a past blog that my hubby likes to find things, repair them give them away or keep them for our use. I think he definately can open a store! Recently, a lazy Saturday morning, he came in all excited because of his latest find but we had to HURRY! I grabbed some clothes and rushed outside, his excitement was so catching! Lo and behold, a sofa set with lots of pillows! It was in pretty good shape and since I wanted to get...
I've had it up to here with people who think that just because they are a certain type; gay, flamboyant, loud, holier than though, rich, live in a fancier house, or drive a fancier car than me, it gives them the right to run all over me or anyone else for that matter! So you're er, flamboyant....on the gaydar scale, and we all know it. Does that mean you come in do your little spin, demand all kinds of attention, rather loudly & rudely, when you don't get your way, you run off to the big ...
I didn't realise that I wasn't giving out too many hugs lately. It's surprising the difference a hug makes to the person receiving it and especially to the person giving it! With all the turmoil happening in and around my household, hugs was scarce, even prior to those events! I noticed my little one was becoming extremely belligerent, because she was having a tough time too, trying to make friends with the little girls around our neighborhood who could be so mean because they were ...
I just heard from tonight's news report about a new diet pill, Alli, that promises users will lose up to 50% of the weight they want to lose, faster than any thing else they have ever tried. The draw back to this is there are side effects that are just not so pleasant to deal with. Namely, you better be near the bathroom when you take it. Some people have reported that they sometimes don't get to the bathroom in time! And get this, the warning on the label says, wear dark clothing and tak...
I read recently in the White House Project there was an article in the NY Post that Dan Rather disparage Katie Couric’s anchoring of the CBS News. He said that since Katie Couric took over his old job, “…I think it has become even clearer that the mistake was to try to bring the ‘Today’ ethos to the evening news and to dumb it down, tart it up, in hopes of attracting a younger audience.” The NY Post article also mentioned that he, Rather, has now joined “joined the growing contingent who ...
