I took my two younger children to see Transformers and we all really enjoyed it very much! I was expecting a mundane, weird looking robots and an ho-hum storyline but got the surprise of my life as I was virtually at the edge of my seat the entire movie rooting for the Autobots (the good guys) to win! I won't say how the movie ended (of course you know the good guys won!) but I enjoyed each and every action packed scene! Basically the bad guys, the Decepticons, and its leader, Megatron...
Did you know that TONIGHT, Friday, July 6th, 2007, at 8pm is the deadline to get your vote in for your choice of a monument or whatever you think is a wonderous thing, too marvelous not to be on the list, to be counted as part of the 8 (eight) New Wonders of the World? People are voting from all over the globe on their favourite choices. We have to get something from the Americas on the list is what I hope will happen! So far there are monuments and locations from other parts of the wo...
Have any of you seen this new reality show on the History channel? It's about a group of truckers who travel from and to Yellowknife, Canada to deliver much needed supplies and equipment to places where there are hardly any roads at all and who depend on these truckers who risk their lives to make the deliveries. Watching this program the first time got me thinking about Mason and what he does too, I even wondered if he would do something like this? The roads traveled are made up of ...
Joey Chestnut did it! He took back the belt for America! Joey won the hot dog eating contest at Coney Island in Brooklyn, NY yesterday. That's the famous Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest held annually at Coney Island where the contestants compete by eating as many hot dogs as they can. The winner of this contest has been a Japanese guy, a little guy too given he ate so much to win, named Takeru Kobayashi, for the past five years. It was going around the grapevine that Kobayashi wo...
I saw this quiz on msnbc.com and thought it was interesting to see how much I do actually remember! I mixed up the Years for the dates in two of the questions so I got two questions wrong! You answered 90% of questions correctly. Here's your rating: 85-100%: Welcome to the United States! (And, truth be told, you know more about this great land than most Americans.) I got a 90% which is great, although I did receive a 100% at the time of my actual citizenship test many years a...
JoeUser is not on the list! Definitely a good thing! These Web Sites are considered the worst by Dan Tynan of PC World. Some of them are throw backs to the infamous dot com era, while some are listed because of their bad design. Others because they treated their users like a revolving door, giving out personal information and talk about Spamming, the early stages for some of these Web Sites were a Spammers delight wherein they made milkshake out of the site's users information! Wo...

I’ve not been in any highly secretive jobs where I had to have clearance from anyone above the person that I’m working for. Then again, I do remember once when I was temping for an agency and putting myself through business school, I had to be bonded in order to work on Wall Street. So I guess that was a high security risk alright. I have also in the past work with people who handle other people’s personal financial information and the information within must be kept confidential at al...
I've had it up to here with people who think that just because they are a certain type; gay, flamboyant, loud, holier than though, rich, live in a fancier house, or drive a fancier car than me, it gives them the right to run all over me or anyone else for that matter! So you're er, flamboyant....on the gaydar scale, and we all know it. Does that mean you come in do your little spin, demand all kinds of attention, rather loudly & rudely, when you don't get your way, you run off to the big ...
Did you know that the United States were up against Mexico for the Gold Cup this past weekend? Did you know that they won? Apparently not too many people do. At least those who are NOT soccer fans! To even get airtime on regular television station, even ESPN sucks! For the championship games over the last couple of months, we have had to tune in to Telemundo, Channel 47 and the broadcast is in Spanish. It's a good thing the sport of football (Soccer) is universal otherwise I would b...

EmperorofIceCream wrote an article about love, “What’s Love? – And who needs it anyway?”, Link . I found it to be a pretty insightful article and made a comment that got me thinking (thx for the inspiration Simon!) My comment to his article: [quote]Love is what everyone seems to need and crave. In a way it seems to validate some people's existence and the lack of it makes them so insignificant. Something I'm trying to make my daughter see because for her, she is loved, finally by...
