I'm still on the fitness journey, I have not quit!  Believe me, that in itself is a great thing!  Had I been on my own, I seriously would have given it a rest by now!  The frustrations that happens when I've had a bad day, or I over indulge and feel guilty, or I am emotional, or I just get tired of eating and having to decide what to eat, or wear, it is enough to call it quits!   I'm glad however, that I am with Weight Watchers, and I'm glad that I'm able to share my...

Sometimes it saddens me, the hate and the distrusts that continues to separate us.  It is sometimes difficult to read some of the things that are said and to listen to what people say.   Things are said without realizing what is being said.  Do they understand what they are really talking about?  I guess not, otherwise it would not be said in the manner it is, and there would be a better coming together of the minds, not just a load of disparage ...

Made you look! I have been perusing a bunch of articles on slate.com.  Pretty interesting too!  First one:  Made me wonder!  It was an interesting read. Who knew that these equipments...er...toys...were banned in some parts!  Now they can be considered as medical tools and given the 'cases' they listed in this article, I tend to agree with them! A Sex Toy a Day Keeps the Doctor Away? The medical uses of dildos and vibrators. By Michelle ...

My husband called me into the bedroom, his favorite place to watch the television from telling me to come quick .....I didn't hear him clearly and entered the bedroom to hear the news of Tim Russert's death. To say I was shocked was putting it mildly .  I didn't know the man, but I knew him, know what I mean?!  I felt that I knew him becuase I've watched him for so long, listened to him for so many years, enjoyed his humor, his opinions, his fairness.  I felt he treated e...

Being prepared to do something means being successful.  Failure to prepare means you are not successful! I know you can't always be prepared for everything, every little details that happens in your life.  But for the ones that you can be prepared for, doing that prep work is always a good thing!

I heard something on Good Morning America this morning that was very interesting.  We are not utilizing our brain to it's full potential!  At least many of us aren't!   Do you think we are all too programmed to use things that makes our lives simple and easy?  We go into automatic pilot and not really think about some of the things we have to do throughout our daily lives!  We have our brain on automatic pilot on the drive in to work, going to get coffee, using...

By now the entire world has heard the biggest upset in Horse Racing history!  I normally am not interested in horse racing, I love the animals but have never ridden one.  He's not a gambler when it comes to that type of sport (it is a sport right?) but my hubby loves them and he enjoys following the races now and again and have worked with horses in a previous life!

These television people really knows how to drag things out, first the race was supposed to be shown live at 3pm, then that 3pm turned into 5pm, and at 5pm, still no racing!  The amount of commercial and crap that goes on in between just so they can make money is appalling!  I had to get that off my chest, because we had to wait a long while for my hubby to tear himself away from the television set on Saturday!

My son likes to drink energy drinks. I never thought it would be a bad thing, he drank the Arizona brand. They make great iced tea, I even looked at the ingredients of the energy drink. So it had corn and fructose syrup for taste, but I didn't think one drink a day would do any wrong.

I came across this article that I linked above, apparently Energy drinkds may put teens at risk, and some of them have!

Summer is here and there will be a few jaunts to the local pool, swimming hole or the beach.  I thought this information is good for those who don't know about it, to be aware of!  The boy in the story died after going to the swimming pool with his mom.  He had water in his lungs, he complained of being tired, was not alert, went to sleep and died in his sleep! My alert sign would have been why did he have an accident in the pool, because that is not no...

At least in Florida, Elementary, Middle and High Schools are all out for the Summer!  Not just that, but my six year old's after school is out too!  What's  a parent to do?  I'm just not ready, it snuck up on me again!

So, I've already visited somewhere my daughter will be spending her days during the summer, her old haunt, the daycare!  She tells me that she is not a baby!  She doesn't want to go. I tell her, she is not a baby and she will be in the big kids section now, and it's Summer Day Camp not daycare!

AS much as I've enjoyed orchestrating this fun event in our blogging lives, I'm hanging up the greetings and calling it a day. I've felt that is't not received in the same manner as was the intention when I started it.  As much as I am sorry to not be doing it anymore, because I love making people happy and I love making a fuss about birthdays, it's goodbye to JU's birthday club. So many people have come and gone, and of those remaining, not too many are intereste...

I've just finished dancing to my favorite 'homemade' CD, the So You Think You Can Dance music from last season!  Let me tell you , I need that!    I'm all tense and feeling non-productive and even more stressed from all this 'race' talk!  It drains me, I don't know about you!  Trying to make someone understand your p.o.v, and where you're coming from with your way of thinking is stressful!   Anyway, it is also a relief to not be in pain at the moment bec...

Once again we are subjected to the going-ons at the Trinity United Church, a church I, and I'm sure a lot of Americans didn't know existed (unless they attended it) until Obama began his candidacy for President!

First it was the much talked about, and You-Tubed Reverend Wright (a black man) who got his '15 mins' of fame and then some!    Dragged into the limelight to let it be known that the aspiring candidate for President is not a good person because he attends a church that is allegedly racist!  Yes, how convenient!  How convenient that this all comes to light when I'm sure that what has been said and done has been going on for a long time.

Growing up I've always enjoyed watching television, (and still do!).  My dream when I was growing up was to become an actress.  Throughout my school life, Primary and High School, I was involved in the Drama Club and wrote and acted in a variety of Plays, most of them comedies.

One of the reasons (but not the only one) for my love of comedies was Harvey Korman!  He was such a wonderful comedic actor whose timing was so spot on all the time!  I enjoyed him in Blazing Saddles, to this date, it is amongst one of my all time favorite shows starring Harvey, Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder - three great comedic actors in my book!

One of the songs I enjoy listening to lately is "This is your Life" by Switchfoot.   No matter how many times I hear that song, I'm humming and really enjoying it!  I found myself disecting the lyrics recently.  Really listening to what they are saying in the song.

"Yesterday, is a wrinkle on your forehead

Yesterday, is a promise that you've broken

Don't close your eyes, don't close your eyes

and today is all you've got now

and today is all you've ever had

Don't close your eyes
